Circulating Tumour Cells Offer a Key Advantage

Circulating tumour cells (CTCs) provide real time insights into tumours progression. The analysis of CTCs can help to guide treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Unlike circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA), CTCs are intact, viable cancer cells that provide real-time insights into tumour progression, evolution and treatment resistance. Their ability to deliver both molecular and functional information makes them invaluable for precision oncology.

The great advantage to us of the Vortex technology is the rapid, gentle, non-contact isolation of live CTCs for our analysis. The Vortex VTX-1 rapidly isolates the live cells in excellent condition, which we simply couldn’t do by other methods.
